Standing With Anahi's Tamales

On October 1st, Gina, the heart behind Anahi's Tamales, and her family were badly hurt in a car accident on their way to a catering job in California. They are far from home with no vehicle to get back.

Gina has spent years feeding Clark County and giving back to local families. Now she needs help with medical bills, lost income, and a new vehicle. We built a page with every way to pitch in, all in one spot.

Why We Started

The Couve Uncensored was born out of frustration with how local conversation in Vancouver and Clark County was being handled elsewhere online. Too many local groups quietly bury posts that don't pay for visibility, or shut down community members simply for being active in the comments. We wanted something different: a genuinely open, honest space where residents and business owners can share real experiences without a paywall standing between them and their own community.

We don't do pay-to-play. We don't curate who gets heard based on who's paying. We're just here for real talk, from real people, about the place we all call home.

Who's Behind It

The Couve Uncensored is led by Paul Hammond, a lifelong Vancouver resident who started his very first business right here in town back in 1988, at just fourteen years old. That early experience left a lasting passion for helping local and independent businesses thrive, especially when they're up against bigger, better-funded competitors and platforms that don't have their best interests at heart. That same spirit drives everything The Couve Uncensored does today.

Where We're Headed

Our vision is for The Couve Uncensored to become the trusted authority representing local business in Clark County. We're building toward two signature programs: The Couve Uncensored Approved badge, an ongoing trust certification businesses can earn and proudly display, and the community-voted Couve's Choice Awards, giving residents a real voice in celebrating the businesses they love most.

We're also developing training resources to help local business owners learn social media content creation and effective email marketing, so more of Clark County's independent businesses can thrive on their own terms.
